Abstract:
According to the present invention, a protection resistor is interposed in a shorter time between a current supply unit and an input terminal when an open state occurs between input terminals during execution of a resistance measuring process. In a resistance measuring process 63, a processing unit: displays a resistance value R if the resistance value R, measured in a resistance measuring range in effect at the present time, is at least equal to a lower limit threshold value RL of the resistance measuring range and is at most equal to a first upper limit threshold value RH1 (step 63h); switches to a resistance measuring range one step lower if the resistance value R is lower than the lower limit threshold value RL in the resistance measuring range in effect at the present time (step 63j); switches to a resistance measuring range one step higher if the resistance value R exceeds the first upper limit threshold value RH1 and is at most equal to a second upper limit threshold value RH2 in the resistance measuring range in effect at the present time (step 63f); and if the resistance value R exceeds the second upper limit threshold value RH2 in the resistance measuring range in effect at the present time, causes a first switch 8 to transition to an open state (step 63c) and terminates the resistance measuring process 63.
