Abstract:
A measuring jug is in the form of a body comprised of a bottom and a side wall and having a handle and a means for measuring the weight of an ingredient in the jug. The means for measuring the weight of an ingredient is configured in the form of a base disposed below and connected to the bottom. The base comprises a side surface, a supporting surface and a cavity having a weight sensor and a power supply disposed therein. A display is attached to the side surface. The weight sensor is coupled by electrical connections to a measuring instrument, to the display and to the power supply. The weight sensor is a strain gauge fastened to a rod in the form of a bushing, said rod connecting the bottom and the supporting surface of the base. Thermal insulation is provided between the bushing and the bottom.
