Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are an MEC information acquisition method and device. Said method comprises: a first network element receiving target reference information from a second network element; and the first network element sending, to the second network element, information concerning an MEC corresponding to the target reference information. The method above implements a process of discovering the MEC, and can enable the second network element to communicate with the MEC according to the acquired information concerning the MEC, thereby using the capability of the MEC to implement service requirements that the second network element cannot satisfy by itself. Furthermore, the information concerning the MEC acquired by the second network element may also belong to a different domain than the second network element, for example, belong to different operators. The present application implements a solution of invoking an MEC across operators, satisfying the requirement that a third-party application can provide services to users of different operators.
