Abstract:

Disclosed is a mechanical bicycle parking facility which can load and unload a plurality of bicycles at once and can load and unload bicycles efficiently even in the peak hour by providing a plurality of bicycle parking mechanisms. A mechanical bicycle parking facility comprises a cylindrical garage (1), loading and unloading ports (2A, 2B) for loading and unloading bicycles, storage sections (3) provided in the garage (1) radially and in multi-stages vertically, and bicycle parking mechanisms (4A, 4B) for carrying a bicycle between the loading and unloading ports (2A, 2B) and the storage sections (3), wherein the bicycle parking mechanisms (4A, 4B) comprise guide rails (5A, 5B) provided vertically in the garage (1) and rotatable about the axis of the garage (1), elevating and lowering bodies (6A, 6B) which can move up and down along the guide rails (5A, 5B), and transfer devices (7A, 7B) provided on the elevating and lowering bodies (6A, 6B). The bicycle parking mechanisms (4A, 4B) are arranged point symmetrically to the axis of the garage (1) so that the transfer devices (7A, 7B) transfer the bicycles in the directions parallel to each other at intervals, and that the front wheels of the bicycles transferred by the transfer devices (7A, 7B) to the elevating and lowering bodies (6A, 6B) face each other.
