Abstract:
Provided is a mechanical seal capable of more reliably positioning a rotating ring. A rotating ring unit 100 comprises: a sleeve 120 fixed to a rotation shaft 500; and a rotating ring 110 prevented from rotating around the sleeve 120 and having travel in the axial direction suppressed. A fixed ring unit 200 comprises: a fixed ring 210 slidably provided on an end surface of the rotating ring 110; and bellows 250 that press the fixed ring 210 towards the rotating ring 110. The present invention is characterized by a stopper 140 being provided in the sleeve 120, said stopper 140 restricting travel of the rotating ring 110 in the direction in which the fixed ring 210 is provided.
