Abstract:
This divided-type mechanical seal comprises first and second seal ring holders (3, 5) divided in two in a radial direction, and first and second seal rings (4, 5) divided in two in the radial direction. Divided portions (3A, 3B) of the first seal ring holder (3) and divided portions (4A, 4B) of the first seal ring (4) are linked by first elastic members (18A, 18B) and first interlocking means (19A, 19B) so that the axial relative positions of the divided portions are fixed, and divided portions (5A, 5B) of the second seal ring holder (5) and divided portions (6A, 6B) of the second seal ring (6) are linked by second elastic members (20A, 20B) and second interlocking means (21A, 21B) so that the axial relative positions of the divided portions are fixed.
