A mechanical vehicle intercepting and stopping mechanism. An arc plate guide plate (32) mounted at one end of a housing (2) is provided with two arc plate guide grooves (18); one end of an arc plate (4) is provide with two arc plate guide blocks (29) sliding up and down in the arc plate guide grooves (18); the lower side of the end of a press plate (6), mounted at the lower side of the other end of the arc plate (4), close to the arc plate (4) is mounted at the middle of the bottom surface of the housing (2) by means of a telescopic column (5); the other end of the press plate (6) is mounted at one end of the bottom surface of the housing (2) by means of a press column (7); two spike mechanisms (10) are symmetrically mounted at two sides of the middle of the bottom surface of the housing (2); an inclined top plate (34) is mounted at the lower end of the housing (2); a sliding base (1) is mounted at the bottom of the housing (2); a leaf spring top plate (19) is mounted at one end of the sliding base (1); four leaf springs (9) are mounted between the inclined top plate (34) and the leaf spring top plate (19) in an pairwise opposite manner. The mechanism can not only successfully intercept vehicles but also reduce the damage to the vehicles as far as possible.
