Abstract:
A hammering cylinder (5) arranged in a tool body (1) is provided with a hammering piston (6) slidably in the vertical direction. A combustion chamber (10) is provided above the hammering cylinder (5). Mixture gas of flammable gas and air is ignited by an ignition plug (13) and burned explosively in the combustion chamber (10), and the hammering piston (6) is driven impulsively by making high pressure gas act thereon and then a fastener is driven from a nose portion (4) provided at a lower portion of a tool body (1) by means of a driver (7) coupled to the lower surface side of the hammering piston (6). The combustion chamber (10) is disposed fixedly at an upper portion of the hammering cylinder (5). Supply and exhaust openings (16a, 16b) are formed in the combustion chamber (10). A valve for opening/closing the openings (16a, 16b) is operated electrically.
