Description:
A MECHANISM WITH MODULAR STRUCTURE

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention generally relates to roller mechanisms that allow the door to move on the body in vehicles with sliding doors.

The invention particularly relates to an embodiment that allows easy disassembly and assembly of the roller, lock, and stopper parts on the mechanism.

STATE OF THE ART

Today, there are sleds to enable the movement of vehicles with sliding doors on the vehicle body. There are roller mechanisms that allow the sliding door to move on these slides. The mechanisms are usually three at the bottom, middle, and top of the sliding door.

The roller connection is secured by riveting a pin attached to the body bracket in the mechanisms of the present art. Similarly, the locking part used to keep the sliding door in the open position is connected directly with the body part.

There is a stopper on the body bracket so that it does not damage the body and stops the sliding door after the sliding door is opened forcefully in the present art. The stopper is generally located at one end of the body bracket and is formed by bending a portion of the body sheet. The loads on the said stopper cause this part to break over time. As a result, it requires the complete replacement of the body bracket and creates extra costs for the users.

The roller mechanism carrying the sliding door is mentioned in the American patent application numbered US 7654608 of the state of the art.

The roller in the roller mechanism is attached to the bracket part with a rivet. The roller is deformed due to wear and needs to be replaced over time. However, the rivets that allow the roller to be connected to the bracket must be removed in this case. This process is also a very time-consuming and challenging one. There is also a possibility of scraping the bracket parts during the removal of the rivet. The problems mentioned in the art cannot be solved with this invention.

The roller mechanism carrying the sliding door is mentioned in the patent application TR 2013/12952, which is in the state of the art.

There is a need for improvement in roller mechanisms, therefore there is a need for novel embodiments which overcomes the said disadvantages and provides solution to current systems as a result.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a roller mechanism which meets the abovementioned requirements, eliminates all the disadvantages and provides some additional advantages.

The main object of the invention is to provide a sliding door mechanism with a modular structure that is easy to disassemble and assemble, with reduced part replacement costs.

An object of the invention is to provide a lightweight sliding door mechanism.

Another object of the invention is to provide a sliding door mechanism made of aluminum material.

In order to realize all the advantages mentioned above and to be understood from the following detailed description; in vehicles with sliding doors, in order to enable the sliding door to move with respect to the vehicle body, the present invention is a roller mechanism comprising

- At least one body bracket to ensure the transport of the sliding door,

- At least one door bracket that ensures that the said body bracket is attached to the vehicle door,

- At least one roller to enable the sliding door to move on the vehicle body, characterized in that it comprises

- At least one roller bracket in a structure that can be easily disassembled and assembled to the body bracket, in which the said roller is connected to an axis pin,

- At least one support bracket that increases the strength of the mentioned roller bracket on the body bracket.

The structural and characteristic features and all the advantages of the invention will be understood more clearly by reference to the following figures and the detailed explanation thereof. Therefore, the evaluation should be made by taking these figures and detailed explanations into consideration.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

The invention should be evaluated together with the figures explained below in order to better understand the embodiment of the invention and its advantages together with the attachments thereof.

Figure 1 is the disassembled view of the roller mechanism of the invention.

Figure 2 is the assembled view of the roller mechanism of the invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In this detailed description, preferred embodiments of the roller mechanism (1) of the invention are explained only for a better understanding of the subject without any limiting effect.

The disassembled view of the roller mechanism (1) of the invention is given in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows the assembled view of the roller mechanism (1) of the invention.

The roller mechanism (1) basically consists of three main parts. These are the door bracket

(2), which provides the connection of the roller mechanisms (1 ) to the door, is the body bracket (3) carrying the door and the roller bracket (5) with roller (56) in its structure.

Body bracket (3), roller bracket (5), support bracket (4), and door bracket (2) parts are preferably made of aluminum material.

The door bracket (2) is connected with the connection members (21) to the body bracket

(3). The roller bracket (5) is connected with bolts (51) passing through the connection holes (31) on the body bracket (3). The roller bracket (5) can be easily removed from and installed to the body bracket (3) in this way.

The roller (56) is attached to the roller bracket (5) by means of an axis pin (55). It is possible to remove the roller bracket (5) from the body bracket (3) and replace it with a new one if the roller (56) or roller bracket (5) is deformed during operation. In case of deformation of each roller (56), it is prevented that the body bracket (3) is also scrapped in this way.

The support bracket (4) in the structure is fixed to the body bracket (3) with the connection members (41) to increase the strength of the roller bracket (5). The support bracket (4) reduces the load on the bolts (51) by pressing on the support surface (52) in the roller bracket (5). The support wall (53) on the roller bracket (5) is based on the step (32) on the body bracket (3). The rotational force on the roller bracket (5) is distributed to the body bracket (3) and the life of the roller bracket (5) is extended in this way.

The stopper (54) on the roller bracket (5) acts as a stopper in the last working area of the roller mechanism (1).

The lock latch (43) is provided in a preferred embodiment of the invention. The lock latch (43) engages with a hook on the vehicle body and allows the sliding door to remain in the open position. The stopper pin (42) fixed to the lock latch (43) limits the angle of rotation of the lock latch (43) by hitting the support bracket (4). The spring (44), which is attached to the lock latch (43) at one end and to the support bracket (4) at the other end, allows the lock latch (43) to come to its free position after being released from the hook.
