An embodiment of the present application provides a media data playing method, device, and intelligent terminal, the method comprising: a first operating system sends, by calling a communication port, a media processing request to a second operating system; the second operating system processing, after receiving the media processing request, and on the basis of the media processing request, media data to generate a processing result, and then sending the processing result to the first processing system; and the first processing system receiving the processing result, and then responding, on the basis of the processing result, to the media data. A first system provided by the embodiment of the application can send, by means of a communication port, a media processing request to a second operating system, and then process, by means of the second operating system, media data to generate a processing result. The first system can then respond, on the basis of the processing result generated by the second operating system, to the media data. The invention addresses an issue of media data playing failure of a first operating system of an intelligent terminal with two operating systems.
