Abstract:
Provided is a medical care apparatus whereby matter scattered from an infected patient during treatment or scattered matter adhering to a medical care instrument before or after treatment can be sterilized using far-ultraviolet C waves safe to the human body. This medical care apparatus (S) has at least a medical care chair (11) and a shadowless lamp (2) for medical care. The medical care apparatus (S) comprises a far-ultraviolet C wave generation means (4) for generating far-ultraviolet C waves that have any wavelength in the range of 190-230 nm or that include said any wavelength. The far-ultraviolet C wave generation means (4) is installed integrally with the shadowless lamp (2) for medical care, or in the vicinity of the shadowless lamp (2) for medical care.
