Abstract:
This medical connector includes: a first connection member having a first connection port and a second connection port which is in fluid communication with the first connection port; a second connection member; and a ratchet mechanism unit coupling the first connection member and the second connection member. When a first connection operation, which is a rotating action, is applied to the second connection member, the first connection member also rotates via the ratchet mechanism unit, making it possible to fluidly connect the first connection port to a first medical instrument and to mechanically connect the first connection member to the first medical instrument. When a second connection operation is performed to mechanically connect the second connection member to a second medical instrument, it becomes possible to fluidly connect the second connection port to the second medical instrument without the second connection member. When an operation is applied to the second connection member in a direction opposite to the first connection operation, it becomes possible for the second connection member to rotate idly with respect to the first connection member through the ratchet mechanism unit.
