Abstract:
Provided is a medical device having a substrate and a polymer layer, wherein the polymer layer is provided on at least a portion of the substrate surface, and the medical device satisfies the following conditions: (a) the water content of the medical device when wet is in the range of 28% by mass to 50% by mass; (b) the substrate has a 2-alkoxyethyl group; and (c) the polymer layer includes one type of polymer containing a carboxylic acid group and one type of copolymer having an amide structure. Provided is a medical device in which the surface wettability thereof can be maintained for a long time.
