Abstract:
The present invention is a surgical tool (2) in which the force of an end effector (6) for gripping tissue can be switched. A handle (17) is supported on a fulcrum (T) in a housing (4). When an operating force Fin is applied to an input position (Pin) of the handle (17) by an operator, the handle (17) rotates around the fulcrum (T) and applies a driving force Fout1 = (b1/a) × Fin to a rotating body (21) at an acting position (Pout1) (principle of leverage). Here, a is the distance between the fulcrum (T) and the input position (Pin), and b1 is the distance between the fulcrum (T) and the acting position (Pout1). The force Fout1 causes a moveable shaft (15) to move forward. The forward movement of the moveable shaft (15) strongly pushes a second gripping piece (14) of the end effector (6) toward a first gripping piece (13). When the operator rotates the rotating body (21) around a longitudinal axis (C), the position of contact between the handle (17) and the rotating body (21) moves to a second acting position (Pout2). The distance between the fulcrum (T) and the second acting position (Pout2) is b2. A driving force Fout2 = (b2/a) × Fin acts on the rotating body (21). In this way, the force of the end effector (6) for gripping tissue can be switched.
