Abstract:

Disclosed is a medical device provided with: a tip section disposed at the end of an insertion section, and having a function for conducting tests, treatment, or observations; a bending section provided continuously to the tip section, and configured in such a manner as to connect a plurality of bending pieces and bend in at least two directions; and a bending section operating device that is disposed on an operating section connected to the base end of the insertion section, and that performs operations for bending the bending section. An elastic member for returning to a neutral position, which returns the bending section to a neutral position, is disposed along the central axis of the bending section and/or a first end inner peripheral surface of the bending section.
