Abstract:
A seal-ensuring mechanism in this medical device has an elevator-riser unit comprising the following: an elevator-riser manipulation mechanism, an elevator-channel section, a guide tube, and an elevator riser. The elevator-channel section is provided with a sealing member that is affixed, in a watertight or airtight manner, to an outer member and a wire-affixing part connected to an elevator wire running through said outer member. A fluid supplied via an opening in the outer member flows between the inner surface of an elevator channel and the outer surface of the sealing member so as to isolate the elevator-riser manipulation mechanism and the elevator channel from each other in a watertight or airtight manner.
