Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical device which further reduces heat insult to areas outside a treatment target caused by heat generated by a heat source. This medical device is provided with: a heat source which generates heat; a base material (43) which has an outer surface and through which heat from the heat source is transferred; a first coating (61) which is adhered to part of the outer surface of the base material (43) from the outside and which has low heat transferability compared with that of the base material (43); a second coating (62) which is provided on the outside surface of the base material (43), is externally exposed, is conductive, and which, supplied with electrical energy, passes a high-frequency current to the treatment target; and a laminate section (66) which is disposed in at least a portion of the area where the first coating (61) extends on the outer surface of the base material (43) and in which the second coating (62) is laminated on the first coating (61) from the outside.
