Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a medical device with which it is possible to prevent an object present in a body lumen becoming clogged inside a lumen of an elongate member.
[Solution] A medical device 1 comprises: an elongate member 20 in which a lumen 25 extending in an axial direction is formed; an insertion member 130 at least a portion of which is inserted into the lumen at the distal end side of the elongate member; and a fracture portion 160 which is disposed on an inner surface of the elongate member of the insertion member in such a way that a gap g is formed between the fracture portion 160 and the insertion member in the lumen at the distal end side of the elongate member, and which rotates relative to the insertion member in a state in which an object to be conveyed is sandwiched between the fracture portion 160 and the insertion member, thereby imparting a shear force to the object.
