Abstract:

The invention relates to a medical gripping and/or retaining instrument, in particular a needle holder, comprising a handle (2) with two hand grips (2a, 2b) and a retainer piece (3) with two jaw pieces (3a, 3b), operated by the handle (2). According to the invention, a gripping and/or retaining instrument may be achieved, whereby at least one part of a jaw piece (3a) of the retainer piece (3) is mounted such as to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the jaw piece (3a) or to be adjusted in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the jaw piece (3a), relative to at least one other jaw piece (3b) cooperating with said jaw piece (3a).
