Abstract:
Provided is a medical image capture device (1), comprising: a tubular casing (4) having a connection port (10) which transects a lateral surface (4c); an image capture optical assembly (2) which is housed within the casing (4), and which collects light from a photographic subject (P); two image capture elements (3) having image capture surfaces whereupon the collected light is formed into images; and a visual observation unit (5) which is detachably attached to the connection port (10). The visual observation unit (5) further comprises an eyepiece optical assembly (14) which is optically connected to the image capture optical assembly (2) when attached to the connection port (10), and collects the light from the image capture optical assembly (2). The following formula (1) is satisfied:
120/A<βoc<170/A … (1),
wherein βoc is the magnification of the eyepiece optical assembly, being βoc=250(mm)/eyepiece optical assembly focal length (mm), and A is the diagonal length (mm) of the effective image capture range of the image capture elements.
