Abstract:
A medical image processing device includes: a 3D model estimation unit for estimating a
3D model of a living organ; a detection object region setting unit for setting a
detection object region of a lesion having a protrusion shape; a detection object region
setting unit for setting a detection object region of the region having the protrusion
shape; a shape feature amount calculation unit for calculating a shape feature
amount indicating a convex/concave state of each voxel contained in the detection
object region; a 3D shape detection unit for detecting a first voxel having a protrusion
shape and a second voxel having a concave shape; a swelling shape judging unit
which judges that the protrusion shape of the first voxel is not caused by a lesion
if the first voxel is near to the second voxel and a voxel group forming a concave
portion exists between the first voxel and the second voxel.
