Abstract:
Provided is a medical image processing system with which it is possible to perform stable control of the light-emitting intensity of short-wavelength narrow band light, when using short-wavelength narrow band light to illuminate an observation object. A light-source unit emits short-wavelength light having a specific narrow band. An imaging sensor is equipped with a first pixel group containing B pixels and a second pixel group containing G pixels. The B pixels have a higher sensitivity to the specific narrow band light than the G pixels. The G pixels have sensitivity to green band light and the specific narrow band light. A light source control unit controls the light emission quantity of the specific narrow band light on the basis of the pixel value for B pixels and the pixel value for G pixels.
