Abstract:
This medical manipulator is provided with: an insertion section having, on the distal end side thereof, a bending section capable of being operated and bent; an end effecter provided at the distal end of the insertion section; a first drive section provided on the proximal end of the insertion section; a flexible power transmission member for connecting the first drive section and the bending section; a second drive section provided between the first drive section and the bending section and connected to the power transmission member so that drive force is transmittable; and a transmission blocking member provided so as to be capable of acting on the portion of the power transmission member, which is located between the first drive section and the second drive section, and blocking the transmission of power by the power transmission member from the first drive section to the second drive section.
