Title:
MEDICAL MATERIAL PRODUCED USING COLLAGEN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/088331
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a medical material produced using collagen and a method for producing the same. To this end, the present invention comprises the steps of: (1) preparing collagen using distilled water as a solvent; (2) filling the prepared collagen into a syringe and then spinning the same through a syringe needle; (3) immediately immersing the spun collagen into a cross-linking solution, which is a mixture made by mixing a hyperosmotic agent with a cross-linking agent; (4) removing and washing the collagen after the crosslinking is completed; and (5) taking out and drying the collagen after the washing is completed. According to the present invention constituted as above, when the collagen is spun and processed into the form of a thread and then the spun thread is cross-linked, the collagen thread that has been cross-linked has increased strength as compared with that before cross-linking, and retains the shape thereof in an aqueous solution, and accordingly, various applications may be possible as a medical thread and a support, thereby greatly improving the quality and the reliability of the medical material, and thus satisfying various needs of users and providing a good image for the same.
