Abstract:
A medical system (1) includes a capsule medical device (10) and an out-of-body device (30). The capsule medical device (10) is introduced into a subject (100) equipped with an antenna (14a) for outputting a radio wave the vertically polarized wave and/or horizontally polarized wave of which has directivity, and a communication unit (14) for communication via the antenna (14a). The out-of-body device (30) disposed outside the subject (100) is equipped with an out-of-body antenna (20) having multiple differently polarized planes thanks to dipole antennas (21a, 21b), an antenna changing switch (311) for selecting one of the polarized planes, and transmitting circuit (32) and/or a receiving circuit (33) for communicating with the capsule medical device (10) via the out-of-body antenna (20) the polarized plane of which is selected by the antenna changing switch (311).
