Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a medical system that enables mononuclear cells, which serve as an angiogenic factor, to be supplied to a living body over time, thus reducing the burden on a patient associated with treating ischemic heart disease. [Solution] A medical system (10) has: a sustained-release part (20) through which mononuclear cells can be sustainably released in a living body; a catheter (30) for introducing the sustained-release part into the living body; and a supply part (40) that is linked to the catheter, and supplies mononuclear cells to the sustained-release part via the catheter.
