The present invention addresses the problem of providing a medical table provided with a moving/stopping mechanism for moving and stopping a tabletop, wherein there is no erroneous moving of the tabletop in which the tabletop is moved other than when necessary. The present invention is a medical table (10) provided with a tabletop (12) and a moving/stopping mechanism for moving and stopping the tabletop (12), the moving/stopping mechanism having a touch sensor (14) having a movement/stopping detection region (16), and a control unit for detecting an operation on the touch sensor (14), recognizing operation information of the operation on the touch sensor (14), and controlling movement of the tabletop (12) in accordance with the operation information, and the control unit moving and stopping the tabletop (12) when the control unit recognizes, in a state in which the tabletop (12) is stopped, that an operation start position in the detection region (16) in which the operation on the touch sensor (14) was started and an operation end position in the detection region (16) in which the operation on the touch sensor (14) was ended are different positions.
