Abstract:
An operating member mounted to the housing of a medical treatment instrument is provided with an operating surface exposed to the outside of the housing and pressed by operational input. A stepped part-forming section is formed on the exposed surface of the housing at a position near the operating surface. The stepped part-forming section forms a stepped part in the width direction of the housing so that the portion of the stepped part-forming section, which is located close to the operating surface, has a smaller height than the portion of the stepped part-forming section, which is located away from the operating surface. Because of the stepped part, at least a part of the outer edge of the operating surface has a smaller height than the portion of the stepped part, which is away from the operating surface.
