Abstract:
A medical video image processing device (3) forms a three-dimensional surface
model from an endoscope video image, sets a small region voxel (Bs) to include
each portion of the inside of the generated surface model, calculates a distance
(Ls) between each voxel (Bs) and an observing position, acquires the point number
(Ns) of structural data of the surface model in the voxel (Bs), calculates a reliance
degree (ρs) to generate a reliance degree map, and stores the same in a voxel
reliance degree map memory unit (25b). Further, when the surface model subjected
to the video image processing is used for the detection of disease-change candidates,
etc., information on the reliance degree for a detected result is provided by
using the reliance degree for the subject voxel.
