This invention, in the healthcare industry, is pertinent to a watch by which patients are able to apply on their own or by another one in case of emergency by using a specially designed injector and they are able to carry the whole kit easily and without forgetting, at the same time that can store the medicine without any deterioration and that can remind and, it describes a medication carrier watch consisting of the needle (4) which provides the medication to enter the body, the casing (2) carrying the medication with the compressed pressure inside, the injection button (1), which enables the medicine contained in the product to come out from the needle (4) and which is integrated on the casing (2), the emergency panel (9), which is visible from the outside (8) and located on the watchband (8), a cooler (11) positioned inside the casing (2) which ensures that the medication is kept at 27 ° C and below.

CLAIMS

1. The invention is a medication carrier watch by which patients are able to apply on their own or by another one in case of emergency, also that can store the medicine without any deterioration and that can remind, its features are as follows: the needle (4) provides the penetration of medication into the body, the casing (2) carrying the medication inside with compressed pressure, the injection button (1), which enables the medicine contained in the product to come out from the needle (4) and which is integrated on the casing (2), the emergency panel (9), which is visible from the outside (8) and located on the watchband (8), a cooler (11) positioned inside the casing (2) which ensures that the medication is kept at 27 ° C and below.

2. It is a medication carrier watch that is suitable for claim 1, its feature is that it consists of a needle movement leg (3) attached to the needle (4) which allows the needle (4) to be folded and unfolded to allow the penetration of medication into the body.

3. It is a medication carrier watch that is suitable for claim 1 or 2, its feature is that it consists of the bacterium inhibitor (5) on the surface of the casing (2) containing the needle (4), which prevents the needle (4) from becoming infected and contaminated.

MEDICATION CARRIER WATCH

Technical Field

The invention, in the healthcare industry, is a product including a watch by which patients are able to apply on their own or by another one in case of emergency by using a specially designed injector and they are able to carry the whole kit easily and without forgetting, at the same time that can store the medicine without any deterioration and that can remind.

Prior Art

Today, people who use medication with methods / apparatus such as needles, injectors and so on have difficulty of carrying the medication. In addition, the medication should be kept below a certain temperature value to prevent deterioration during transport. Immediate deterioration of the medication due to the hot weather should be avoided; otherwise application of the defective medication may result in death.

Another problems encountered are reasons such as forgetting the medications to be used and passing the time. It should be used in a timely manner in order to get the most out of the medications and to respond to the treatment.

In the common known situation of the technique, in the Turkish utility model application number TR201109222, the invention, which makes possible to follow the regular daily-weekly medications of people and which is manufactured with the principle of carrying the medicine in a box as much as he/she needs instead of carrying more than one medicine box when needed, of which internal compartments are in various numbers and that can be stretched in the form that may indicate the different days and hours, medication use before / after meals and that provides the prevention of confusions by means of writing the names of patients on the carrying box, is being described. In the said application, the compartment where the medications are to be placed, the medication compartment movable mechanism, the part where the patient's name is written and the partitioned medication transport apparatus containing the time zone indicator of the medication use have been defined.

Another improvement is described with a medication-reminded wristwatch in US patent application US6075755. It is a medical reminder system having an electronic messaging clock programmed with a medication regimen via an infrared or other electronic data transfer connection to the computer system of a healthcare provider having software specific to a patient. The programmable clock alarms when a medication is taken or when a health procedure will be performed. However, in this common technique, there is no apparatus which ensures the timely use of the medication, reminding the user the time of the medication, and ensures that the medication is maintained and transported at the appropriate temperature.

Description of the Invention

The object of the invention; to eliminate the problem of loss and forgetting of the medication at home, to prevent the deterioration due to hot weather and to provide the user with the transport life of the medication. The developed product is both very small and it is very easy to carry and effortless as it comes along with the watch. It also ensures that the medication is taken on time.

For example, in anaphylaxis patients, when the patient feels an attack of anaphylaxis, even the patients can easily apply it on their own. Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction that starts suddenly and can cause death. Anaphylaxis generally presents with symptoms such as redness, itching, swelling of the throat and drop in blood pressure, and the most common causes that are triggering these symptoms are insect bites, foods and medicines. Persons at risk for anaphylaxis should carry cards indicating their status, wear bracelets and necklaces where necessary, pencil-shaped epinephrine kits that can be injected on their own, or first-aid kits with needle, ampoules, syringes and anti-spoil ice. In general, it is difficult to prevent anaphylaxis. However, it is possible to reduce its frequency and severity by protective measures.

In the common technique, the needle must be inserted and the medication needs to be withdrawn from the ampoule for the accurate functionality of the syringe used by anaphylaxis patients. You need to open the patient's bag, remove the syringe, needle and ampoule from it, open and attach the pouches one by one, and all of these procedures are only to make the needle ready for injection. Unfortunately, patients with anaphylaxis have a maximum of 2-3 minutes to provide first aid treatment on their own, and if they fail to do so, attacks can be fatal.

An important feature of the medication carrier watch, which is the subject of the present invention, is that there is no need for a needle, ampoule and a bag for carrying and keeping it cold. Because the medication carrier watch comes with the needle and ampoule from the factory in a way that can be injected in 3 steps.

The medication carrier watch, which is the subject of the present invention, has also been developed for use in cases other than anaphylaxis.

Another feature of the product; it resembles the clock from the outside. This situation makes the patient feel psychologically comfortable and confident when he / she enter the society. Since the product needle is disposable and ready to use from the factory, it does not bother the user and enables easy use.

Since the invention is in the form of a wristwatch, it is always on the wrist of the patient and, when necessary, it is on the wrist and ready for use. This feature minimizes the possibility of being lost or forgotten at home. The invention is in the form of a wristwatch and does not disturb the patient as it carries the entire first aid kit, and the patient uses the invention as an ornament or jewelry, and it is always just beside of you. In this way, it ensures that the patient always carries it without any disturbance.

Normally needles, ampoules, syringes used and ice to keep the product cold and the carrying kit takes up a lot of space and requires extra material to use. There is no such problem in the invention. Because the needle, syringe, ampoule parts are together in the product (Capsule) and as it is small, it does not take up space. The transport kit and ice are designed to fit easily into the capsule. Thus, the inside of the wrist watch keeps the capsule cold and allows it to wait until ready for use. It also ensures that it does not take up much space and that no extra materials are used to carry it.

Another feature of the product is that it is practical. It is far less inconvenient than normally applied first aid and intervention techniques and easily results in a fast and effective response such as three steps.

The invention is in the form of a specially designed wrist watch. It is enough for you to take the watch once. When you take the wrist watch and place the capsule in the wrist watch, the capsule can wait up to 60 months in the wrist watch until you use it. In other words, one wrist watch and one capsule will be sufficient for 5 years until you use it. It is an economic advantage that the wrist watch can be used repeatedly.

Another aspect of the invention is that it is renewable. When the life of the capsule is over or used, refilling is not done and the capsule is directly disposed. Since the capsule is disposable, it is sufficient to replace it with a new capsule after use. The wristwatch serves as a carrier and does not need to be replaced, so all that is needed is to replace the capsule in a possible situation.

Another feature of the invention is that: it can be used anytime, anywhere. Because the capsule is carried inside the wristwatch, the first aid kit (capsule) will go to wherever the user is available. The product is waterproof and very robust; whether you are swimming, climbing, at work, on the plane, anywhere, the medication is available for use in the time frame that needs to be taken on time and is always accompanied to the user.

At the same time, the invention prevents being affected of the patient’s daily life and adapts to the patient. Since the invention is waterproof and robust, the patient will always adapt to the patient and adapt to his/her lifestyle wherever he/she goes and whatever activity he/she performs. It also makes the patient psychologically comfortable, since the invention is in the form of a wristwatch.

Detailed Description of the Invention

The medication carrier watch, which is subject to the invention, consists of the needle (4), the casing (2) carrying the medication with the compressed pressure inside, the injection button (1), which enables the medicine contained in the product to come out from the needle (4) and which is integrated on the casing (2), the needle movement leg (3) that is attached to the needle (4) and provides the folding and opening of the needle (4) enabling the penetration of medication into the body, the emergency panel (9), which is visible from the outside (8) and located on the watchband (8) and to remind the use of medication on time and a cooler (11) positioned inside the casing (2) which ensures that the medication is kept at 27 ° C and below. The injection button (1) allows the medication contained in the product to exit from the needle (4). When the user presses the injection button (1), it will have started the move of the needle (4).

The casing (2) carries the medication with compressed pressure inside of it; also it does not take up space thanks to its expanded and shortened form and provides a practical use to the needle (4). It provides the integration of other parts over itself. In addition, the medication carrier clock, which is subject to the present invention, comprises the needle movement leg (3) which allows the needle (4) to be folded and opened. The needle movement foot (3) forms a channel for fluid flow between the casing (2) and the needle (4).

The clock dial movement leg (6) enables the clock dial (7) to be opened and to be removed of product inside of it and to be place of the product into the watch again. The clock dial (7) in this technique is used in the invention to show the time, the bead (8) is used in the invention to enable the watch and the product to be held on the wearer's wrist.

The clock dial release button (10) enables the clock dial (7) to be opened and the product ready to be removed from it. The cooler (11) ensures that the product is maintained at or below 27 ° C. Heat-insulating coolers (11) are preferably used in the product of the invention.

Another feature of the medication carrier watch according to the present invention is that it has an emergency panel (9). In emergency situations and in cases where the patient cannot intervene on his/her own, it ensures that the people / health workers coming around for help are aware of the patient's situation and help the patient better. In the emergency panel (9), what the patient is allergic to and what is his/her disease is written. The emergency panel (9) may optionally be provided with warning-notice lamps or audible warning equipment.

Another feature of the medication carrier watch according to the present invention is; the bacterium inhibitor (5) which prevents the needle (4) from becoming infected and contaminated. It keeps the needle (4) hygienic until use. The bacterium inhibitor (5) is located on the surface of the casing (2) containing the needle (4).

An important feature of the medication carrier watch according to the present invention is that there is no need for a needle (4), ampoule and a bag for carrying and keeping it cold. Because the medication carrier comes with the needle and the ampoule (4) from the factory and so, it is in a form that has already been assembled and can be injected in three steps. In order to make the injection, the patient has to perform the following three steps:

In the first step, the user removes the syringe / ampoule from the medication carrier watch.

In the second step, it activates the needle (4). In doing so, the antimicrobial membrane, which is also a bacterial inhibitor (5), is automatically torn.

In the last step, the user finishes the procedure by injecting either shoulder or groin or leg using the 4- finger rule.
