Provided are: a medicinal composition for treating or preventing a drug-tolerant cancer using photodynamic therapy (PDT), said composition comprising 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA), a derivative thereof or a salt of the same; and a method for treating or preventing a drug-tolerant cancer with the use of the medicinal composition.
