Abstract:
It is intended to provide a medicinal composition for the efficient transdermal absorption of an opioid receptor antagonist typified by pentazocine having an analgesic effect, etc. Namely, a medicinal composition for transdermal absorption which contains an opioid receptor antagonist, a fatty acid ester and a glycerol fatty acid ester or a sorbitan fatty acid ester. More specifically speaking, the above-described fatty acid ester is a fatty acid ester prepared form a fatty acid having from 6 to 22 carbon atoms with an alcohol having from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, more preferably isopropyl myristate. The above-described glycerol fatty acid ester or sorbitan fatty acid ester is selected from the group consisting of glycerol caprylate, glycerol caprate, sorbitan caprate and glycerol laurate. It is adequate that this medicinal composition for transdermal absorption is in a dosage form selected from the group consisting of a patch, a tape, a cream, a lotion, an ointment and a gel.
