Abstract:
The present invention provides a medicine inspection device, an image processing device, an image processing method, and a program that properly extract identification information even when the positional relationship between the print and engraving provided to medicines is not constant. This image processing device performs a process for enhancing a print portion on the medicine on the basis of at least one image of the medicine, captured by irradiating the surface of the medicine with light; generates a print-enhanced image; performs a process for extracting only an engraving portion from the three-dimensional shape of the medicine on the basis of at least three images of the medicine, each of which being captured with different illumination directions of the light on the surface of the medicine; generates an engraving extraction image; and generates a difference image between the print-enhanced image and the engraving extraction image.
