Abstract:

A medicine supply which comprises a case container (8) containing tablet cases in which medicines are stored. Medicines dispensed from tablet cases (3) according to a prescription are supplied and placed in an envelope (72). Each tablet case (3) is provided with an identification code (26) and read by means of an optical sensor (33) installed in the case container (8), and the dispensing of medicines is controlled. A motor (14) for driving a dispensing drum of each tablet case is periodically checked by current application for any disconnection. The use times and numbers of operations of consumable parts of the motor and so forth are stored and used for failure prediction. A color printing mechanism (73) prints a color on the medicine envelope (72) differently by the time zone of the taking time.
