Abstract:
Provided is a medium accumulation device comprising: a medium storage unit for storing a medium; a first impeller axially supported on a rotating shaft and having a first blade provided at a part of the outer periphery of the first impeller to hit the medium so as to cause the medium to be accumulated in the medium storage unit; a drive source for rotating the first impeller; an abutting portion that rotates in synchronism with the first impeller; a second impeller axially supported on the same axis as the rotating shaft and having a second blade provided at a part of the outer periphery of the second impeller to hit the medium so as to cause the medium to be accumulated in the medium storage unit; and a limiter that rotates in synchronism with the second impeller, wherein the second impeller rotates in accordance with the first impeller as the abutting portion abuts on the limiter.
