Abstract:
A banknote teller machine (10) is provided with: a separating/dispensing mechanism (32) that separates one sheet at a time of banknotes housed in a banknote housing unit (38) and dispenses same; a dispensing/conveyance unit (51) that is provided at the downstream side in the dispensing direction of banknotes with respect to the separating/dispensing mechanism (32), contacts the banknotes, and imparts to the banknotes a conveyance force (Fμ1) for conveying the banknotes in the dispensing direction and set higher than the friction force (Fμ3) of the plurality of banknotes to each other; and a friction unit (55) that is provided opposing a separating/conveyance mechanism (34) sandwiching the dispensing conveyance pathway (62) through which the banknotes are conveyed, contacts the banknotes, and imparts to the banknotes a resistance force (Fμ2) for retaining the position of the banknotes and set lower than the conveyance force (Fμ1) and higher than the friction force (Fμ3) of the plurality of banknotes to each other. As a result, it is possible to increase reliability.
