Abstract:
A bill storage is provided with: a storage internal space for storing bills; a stage that is moved in the storage internal space along a stage movement direction and that holds bills; a stage belt that is extended from the vicinity of one end to the vicinity of the other end of the stage movement direction in the storage internal space, with a front-side movement portion and a rear-side movement portion thereof that are moved in opposite directions disposed facing each other in a front-rear direction orthogonal to the stage movement direction, the stage belt causing the stage to move in the storage internal space in conjunction with the front-side movement portion; a lifting/lowering drive unit for driving the stage belt; a belt light-blocking plate moved in conjunction with the front-side movement portion of the stage belt; and a position sensor for sensing the position of the stage by detecting the belt light-blocking plate.
