Abstract:
The present application relates to the field of wireless communications, is applied to a wireless local area network that supports 802.11 series standards, and in particular relates to a medium synchronization delay timer setting method and a related apparatus. The method comprises: a station on an NSTR link pair in an MLD starts a medium synchronization delay timer at the end of the transmission of another station and sets an initial value (not 0); the station receives a PPDU carrying an MPDU, the MPDU comprising an RTS frame; and if the RTS frame is sent by an access point associated with the station, and the link where the access point is located is not a link on any NSTR link pair of the MLD to which the access point belongs, the station resets a count value of the medium synchronization delay timer to be 0. Embodiments of the present application can reduce the effect of unnecessary limitations on the performance of a station with lost medium synchronization and improve the performance of a station.
