Abstract:
[Problem] To prevent in advance a medium from being fraudulently removed from a medium storage chamber which can be attached to and detached from a body part, while the configuration of the medium storage chamber is made simple. [Solution] In a banknote dispenser 1, a banknote bundle detecting unit 60 is formed of: a light emitting unit 61 and a light receiving unit 62 that are attached to a rear guide 24 of a bundle conveyance unit 3; and a prism 63 attached to a first guide surface 41 of a reject cassette 17, wherein the optical axes X1, X2 thereof are positioned at the downstream side from a virtual shortest arc CS (fig. 5). As a result, in the banknote dispenser 1, while the configuration of the reject cassette 17 which is attached and detached is made simple, the presence of a banknote bundle W in a closing abnormality preliminary state, that is, the presence of a banknote bundle W that, when a shutter 45 is closed, may be jammed between the shutter 45 and the first guide surface 41, can be surely detected, whereby execution of maintenance work can be facilitated.
