An automatic cash transaction device of the present invention is provided with: a depositing/dispensing port shutter which has a plate shape, is positioned inside a depositing/dispensing port, and moves, in an opening direction that is toward the rear side in the movement direction approximately along the surface direction of the depositing/dispensing port shutter, from a closed position where a bill storage part for storing the bills deposited from the outside through the depositing/dispensing port is closed from the outside to an open position where at least a portion of the bill storage part is open to the outside; a gear shaft that is disposed on the opening direction side with respect to the depositing/dispensing port shutter, extends in the width direction that is left and right directions perpendicular to the movement direction, and causes the depositing/dispensing port shutter to move in the movement direction by moving along the movement direction together with the depositing/dispensing port shutter; and a central support part at least one portion of which is provided in the vicinity of the widthwise central section of the gear shaft and on the opening direction side of the depositing/dispensing port shutter, and which faces the shutter outside direction in the gear shaft.
