Abstract:
Provided is a member authentication method comprising: a step for identifying, under visible light, a physical arrangement of a diamond set consisting of all diamonds (13) affixed to a single support (12); a step for identifying, under ultraviolet rays, an arrangement of diamonds (13), within the diamond set, having at least strong blue fluorescence; and a step for discerning, from a physically arranged set of diamonds that partially includes at least some diamonds other than the diamonds showing at least a strong blue fluorescence, a set of the diamonds (13) showing at least strong blue fluorescence in an arrangement matching the physical arrangement. Due to the foregoing, a simple and reliable member authentication method that omits the bother of recording data can be provided.
