Abstract:
Disclosed is a membrane electrode assembly comprising an anode catalyst layer
(3), a cathode catalyst layer (1) and a proton conducting membrane (5) interposed
between the anode catalyst layer (3) and the cathode catalyst layer (1). This
membrane electrode assembly is characterized in that an electrolyte is continuously
distributed from at least one of the anode catalyst layer (3) and the cathode catalyst
layer (1) to the proton conducting membrane (5).
