Abstract:
A method to perform membrane separation treatment of water (1) to be treated utilizing a membrane module (14) in which a tubular separation membrane (15) is housed inside a casing (16). A first opening (17) and a second opening (18) are provided in the casing (16) on one side and the other side in the tube axial direction of the tubular separation membrane (15) on the outside of the tubular separation membrane (15). A baffle (19) is provided on the outside of the tubular separation membrane (15) and oriented so as to be perpendicular to or sloped in the tube axial direction. A flow pathway is formed extending so as to traverse the baffle (19) in the tube axial direction. The water (1) to be treated is introduced inside the casing (16) through the first opening (17). The flow rate of the water (1) to be treated at the first opening (17) is periodically changed.
