Abstract:
Provided are a memory chip, a circuit component, an electronic device, and a method for controlling a memory chip. A memory chip (220-11) comprises a reset pin (204), a plurality of command address pins (202), a memory unit (240), and a mode setting circuit (230). When receiving a low level, the reset pin (204) enters a reset mode. The mode setting circuit (230) generates, according to a level pattern received by the plurality of command address pins (202) in the reset mode, a mode setting signal for setting the memory chip (220-11) to a standard mode or a mirror image mode, and enables the memory chip (220-11) to operate according to the set mode when reset ends. By setting the operation mode using the level pattern received by the plurality of command address pins (202) during the reset and enabling the memory chip (220-11) to operate according to the set mode after the reset ends, a mirror pin originally provided during a normal operation mode and maintaining the operation mode can be saved. Therefore, the number of pins of the memory chip (220-11) can be reduced to make a memory more miniaturized, or said mirror pin is reserved for other use to enhance performance of the memory chip (220-11).
