Abstract:

A memory management method and an electronic device, the method comprising: starting up an application program and providing a virtual memory to the application program (S401); detecting space of the virtual memory occupied by the application program during a running process (S402); when the occupied space of the virtual memory is greater than a first threshold, detecting the number of digits of the process run by the application program (S403); and executing a process-killing operation on the application program according to the number of digits of the process run by the application program (S404). According to the described method, according to the combination of the occupancy of a virtual memory when a memory anomaly occurs in a running application program and multi-dimensional information, a specific application program is checked and killed in accordance with a preset strategy, so that the problem of memory leakage is solved.
