Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of display technology, and discloses an MEMS light valve and a display device. The display device utilizes external light to realize a black and white display and has a simpler structure in comparison with the prior art. The MEMS light valve comprises: a fixed grating (2) divided into alternately arranged first regions (21) and second regions (22), wherein the fixed grating (2) comprises reflector elements (23) located in the first regions (21) and the second regions (22) do not reflect light; and a movable grating (1) located at the external light incident side of the fixed grating (2) and being capable of movement in a plane in which the movable grating (1) is located, wherein the movable grating (1) can, upon moving, block part or all of the reflector elements (23). The present invention is also applied to the fabrication of an MEMS light valve and a display device comprising the MEMS light valve.
