Abstract:
A merchandise sample display device for an automatic vending machine, capable of effectively preventing the effect of display of merchandise from being impaired by the shadows of the merchandise samples cast on a sample base.
When an illumination device (14) is turned on, the light of LEDs (14b) is emitted toward merchandise samples (13) below the LEDs (14b) and the merchandise samples (13) on a sample base (12) are illuminated. The light from the illumination device (14) casts shadows of the merchandise samples (13) on a sloped plate (12b) of the sample base (12); however, the light of the LEDs (14b) transmits through the sloped plate (12b) because the sloped plate (12b) is transparent or half transparent. As a result, no shadows of the merchandise samples (13) are formed on the surface of the sloped plate (12b), so that the appearance of a merchandise sample chamber (11) is not impaired by shadows.
