Abstract:
Provided is a message processing method, comprising: a forwarding device receiving a first message, the first message belonging to a first message flow; the forwarding device determining at least two types of information among the following four types of information: a length of time the first message flow stays in a first memory, an occupancy rate of the first memory, whether the first message flow is a victim of a congestion control mechanism, and a discard priority of the first message; the forwarding device determining, according to the at least two types of information, whether explicit congestion notification tagging is required for the first message. In addition, other methods and devices are provided. The described technical solution helps to improve the accuracy of explicit congestion notification tagging for messages.
