Abstract:
Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a message processing method and a network device, which can effectively solve the problem of limitation to the parallel number of message processing strategies due to the scarcity of hardware resources of a message forwarding chip in a network device. The method disclosed in the embodiment of the present invention comprises: a first network device obtaining identification information; when the first network device receives messages, processing the messages, wherein the processed messages include the identification information; and the identification information included in the messages corresponding to different pre-set strategy information is different; and the first network device sending the processed messages to a second network device so that the second network device matches the processed messages with corresponding strategies according to the identification information.
