Abstract:
The present application provides a message sending method and a network device, applicable to Internet security IPsec communications between a first network device and a second network device. The first network device has no IPsec security association (SA), and the second network device has a network scenario of the IPsec SA. The method comprises: the first network device receives an encrypted message received from the second network device; in a case where the first network device is unable to decrypt the encrypted message, the first network device obtains characteristic information; in a case where the first network device obtains, according to the characteristic information, an Internet key exchange (IKE) SA corresponding to the characteristic information, the first network device generates an information exchange message, which instructs the second network device to delete the IPsec SA on the second network device; and the first network device sends the information exchange message to the second network device. The present application can shorten service interruption time.
